On 1 September 2025, MemeStrategy’s Chairman and 9GAG Co-Founder Ray Chan joined fellow innovators at the Tatler Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow 2025 Celebration event, held at Kai Tak Stadium. The panel discussion, titled “Why We Start, Why We Stay: The Courage to Keep Building”, brought together leaders from across industries to share their journeys of resilience, purpose, and innovation.

Ray spoke alongside Gary Wan of Hyrox Hong Kong and Kevin Poon, the creative mind behind CLOT and eateries like Elephant Grounds. The conversation explored the evolving motivations behind entrepreneurship and the courage required to sustain creative ventures.

Reflecting on his journey with 9GAG, Ray noted that what began as “funny pictures and videos” has grown into a global community—an experience that now informs his work in forming MemeStrategy (2440.HK), a publicly listed company in Hong Kong, to bridge Web2 and Web3. He emphasized resilience and purpose as essential for sustaining innovation and creating meaningful impact.
